We were initially instructed to carry out a pre-purchase cavity wall tie condition survey on a large detached property in Hythe, Kent.
Our survey identified significant corrosion to the existing cavity wall ties, with many ties having completely failed. The deterioration had resulted in visible horizontal cracking through the mortar joints and the external render coat.
Following the survey, we recommended cavity wall tie replacement to the property. We were subsequently instructed to carry out the remedial works prior to renewal of the existing external render.
